Economics: Labour Markets – Introducing a Feminist Perspective With Dr Liliana Harding From University of East Anglia

20th May 2021 @ 14:15 - 15:00

In this live interactive event, Dr Liliana Harding from the School of Economics at UEA will present: Labour Markets: Introducing a Feminist Perspective.

This talk will introduce you to a feminist approach to economics, through the lens of labour markets and the differential impact of the pandemic on women and occupations in which one gender or the other is over-represented.

We are inviting the audience to interact with us during the live session, and access to mobile devices would support direct participation in live online polling.

The talk acknowledges the multitude of approaches economists can consider for analysing labour markets, as well as providing a snapshot of relevant statistics and student projects tackling feminist questions in economics.

Our events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals, either from school or from home. This means that sessions will continue irrespective of possible school closures.

As a live, participative event, this session will not be recorded but slides and other resources will be shared after the event, where available.
