School/College Webinar Request Scheme – University Page

The schools/colleges webinar request scheme enables schools and colleges to submit requests for input from one or more universities. The request may, for example, seek university input as part of a wider HE/Careers event that a school/college is running, adding variety to the event and often widening its geographical reach. Alternatively it may be a one off event that curriculum leaders in the school feel would support their teaching in a particular area whilst giving a valuable insight into university study.

Below are the main options available although they may combine depending upon the school’s requirements:

  • A Guidance Talk – This may be a talk on personal statements, student finance, student life, etc.
  • A Taster Lecture – A subject based talk to give students an insight into a subject area and the associated learning experience at university
  • Curriculum Support Talk – An external voice on a subject being covered in the classroom
  • Online Stand/Helpdesk for HE/Careers Day – Students can connect and have a conversation with a relevant person (probably at their desk/pc) at a uni

Please see below the list of live requests and details of the Scheme with costs. Please click on the ‘Available’ icon to see individual requests in full.

2 Multiple School Event – Up to 5 schools/Colleges depending upon demand. Channel Talent will agree the approach to inviting and marketing to schools with the university. Tests will be run with the schools/colleges and the university. We will be connected throughout to fully supervise the event and to open, manage interaction, and close the session as required, plus manage any feedback and data requirements.

International events are charged at an additional 50%, where 2 or more schools are not from the UK.

If the request results in more than one webinar being delivered, the first webinar will be charged as above and subsequent webinars will be charged at half the price if the participating schools are the same.

3 The first three session formats may be combined depending upon the school’s requirements.
4 The request will be allocated to the first university to approach Channel Talent (via the website contact form or email) with a firm, committed offer. Some requests will enable more than one university to be deliver.
5 There’s no obligation for any university to run a session and the schools will understand that there is a possibility that the request will not be fulfilled.
