SUMMARY:Tackling The Extended Project Qualification Artefact With Becky Naylor-Teece From University of Southampton
DESCRIPTION:Register here \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nThe fourth session in our EPQ series will be delivered by Becky Naylor-Teece\, an Academic Skills Officer in the University of Southampton’s Learn with US Transition EPQ programme. \nThe aim of this session is to provide targeted support to students undertaking an artefact\, performance\, or event EPQ project. Although the session is directed to students studying the EPQ\, teachers are very welcome\, either individually or with their groups. \nThis session will: \n\nClarify the components of an artefact project.\nConsider how to define and evidence the purpose of an artefact.\nConsider how to evidence that this purpose has been achieved.\nProvide techniques for researching\, which are specific to artefact projects.\n\n  \nPreparatory Work \nThough it is not essential to complete the preparatory work before the session\, you might find the session even more useful if you have carried out the following task(s): \n\nWhat do you expect to be the impact of your artefact\, performance\, or event? Write 2-3 sentences reflecting on this question.\nIf you have a research question in mind\, propose how you could realise the project in all three of the following formats:\n\nAs a dissertation / report.\nAs an artefact\, performance\, or event.\nAs a scientific investigation with a testable hypothesis.\n\n\n\n  \nPlease note that\, although the session is scheduled to end at 14:45\, Becky will stay on until 15:00 to answer further questions about the session and about the EPQ\, more generally.    \n  \nSpeaker Profile: Becky Naylor-Teece \n  \n  \nFor forthcoming sessions in this great EPQ series with Learn with US at University of Southampton\, please see below and click for details: \n  \nUniversity of Southampton – EPQ Series \n  \n\n  \nOur events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals\, either from school or from home.
