Speech & Language Therapy: University Study & Careers In Speech & Language Therapy – Graduates Tell Their Story With University Of Reading

5th November 2020 @ 13:00 - 13:45

In this webinar we connect with University of Reading who will introduce their Speech & Language Therapy courses before we connect with one of their graduates who is working in the field.

This is a great chance for Year 12 & 13 students (and equivalent) to hear about undergraduate Speech & Language Therapy study, the graduates’ university experience, and how this has prepared them for their current roles.

There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and to find out about the decisions the university alumni have made since they were in Year 12 to successfully embark upon, and establish themselves in, their careers.

Our events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals, either from school or from home. This means that sessions will continue irrespective of possible school closures.

Suitable for: Year 12 & 13 (and equivalent) students with a possible interest in Speech & Language Therapy. Teachers and members of school staff, as always, are welcome too, particularly where you are joining as a group along with your students.

Preparation/Pre-Reading: There is no specific preparation required although please do feel free to send us any questions you have in advance about study and careers in Speech & Language Therapy.

The IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. If you are joining as a school group, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the university via a microphone and/or typed comments and questions. Full details will be sent to those who have registered (see below) prior to the event.

Booking a Place: This is free for schools and colleges. If you would like to take part in this event, please register your interest using the link to the registration form below:
