Psychology/Biology: Psychobiology – Linking Our Brains And Behaviour With Dr Heather Cleland Woods, University Of Glasgow

Psychobiology is about linking physiological process to behaviours, in essence, the link between brain and behaviour.
In this interactive webinar, we will be talking about areas of the brain where this link is evident as well as using examples to illustrate.
We will also be talking about how the field of Psychobiology links with the wider Psychological field.

Suitable for: Year 11 and 12 students already studying Psychology/Biology and for those thinking about studying a Psychology degree (and interested teachers/careers advisors).
Preparation or Pre-Reading: None is required although students might like to consider questions they have relating to their current studies or about studying Psychology at university.
The IT Setup: The setup is similar to Skype, using a pc and webcam, although students take part as a group with the image projected on a whiteboard rather than as individuals in front of lots of pcs. Dedicated videoconferencing equipment is also compatible if available to the school. We will work with your IT department to ensure everything is set up and working prior to the event. The sessions are generally limited to 3 or 4 schools to maintain the interactive nature of the experience.
