DESCRIPTION:Register Here\n \n  \nWe are delighted to present the Before\, During and Beyond … series from Aberystwyth University in which each event focuses on a particular subject area to introduce the decisions that need to be made before choosing a degree course\, the study period itself and how University alumni have succeeded beyond studying the course. \n\n\nBefore\, During & Beyond … Psychology \nAs well has giving you some hints and tips to really enhance your application to a Psychology-related degree\, we’ll be presenting ‘Where’s the psychology in that?’; an overview of psychology in the real world and how we study and work in the field. \nAt the end of the session students will have an understanding about how psychology is found everywhere and why studying for a Psychology-related degree is so relevant. \nWe will then hear from the alumna\, Chloe Wilkinson-Silk\, to discuss their experiences post-degree. \n  \nThis is a great chance for Year 11\, 12 & 13 students (and equivalent) to hear about how to prepare to study undergraduate courses\, the graduates’ university experience\, and how this has prepared them for their current roles. \nThere will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and to find out about the decisions the university alumni have made also. \nThe format is accessible\, friendly\, informative and participative. \n\n\n  \nFor further details about this great series and to see other Before\, During and Beyond … events on offer\, please click below: \n  \nBefore\, During and Beyond … Series with Aberystwyth University \n\n\n\n  \n  \nLecturer Profile (Please Click): Professor Nigel Holt \nSuitable for: Years 11\, 12 and 13 or equivalent students. This session will be of interest primarily to those students who are considering studying Psychology and related subjects from courses such as psychology\, sociology\, biology\, business\, education. NB: All degree courses for psychology require completed GCSE Maths & English grade 4 or above (or equivalent). \nPreparation or Pre-Reading: There is no formal preparation or pre-reading but participants may like to consider in advance some questions relevant to the subject area. \nThe IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops\, tablets\, and mobile devices. You will be able to interact with the university via a microphone and/or typed comments and questions.
