Politics: Studying Politics at University with Fernan Osorno Hernandez, University of Bristol

Fernan Osorno Hernandez is an Assistant Teacher in the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies at University of Bristol.

In this interactive webinar, Fernan will provide students with an overview of what to expect from a Politics degree at Bristol, including:

  • – an overview of the course content and structure
  • – tips and guidance for the application process

As part of the talk, there will be a Q&A session enabling students to ask specific questions.

Suitable for: Year 12 students thinking about studying a Politics degree (and interested teachers/careers advisors).

Preparation/Pre-Reading: No preparation/pre-reading is required for this event.

The IT Setup: The setup is similar to Skype, using a pc and webcam, although students take part as a group with the image projected on a whiteboard rather than as individuals in front of lots of pcs. Dedicated videoconferencing equipment is also compatible if available to the school/college. We will work with your IT department to ensure everything is set up and working prior to the event. The sessions are generally limited to 3 or 4 schools to maintain the interactive nature of the experience.
