DESCRIPTION:Register here \n  \n \n  \n\nDo you have what it takes to be an expert in medicines? \nJoin us to explore the world of clinical decision making and find out about the new developments within pharmacy degrees and why it is an exciting time to be a pharmacist. \nThis session will offer an understanding of what pharmacy is and the role of pharmacists\, along with the changes in pharmacy degrees. \nThe main focus of the session will be on a clinical scenario/case study to explore NHS core values which engages students in a live decision making process. \n\nLecturer Profile (Please Click): Leoni Palmer\,  Sam Taylor & Paul McDermott \n\n  \nFor students seeking to understand and weigh up the differences between Pharmacy and Pharmacology\, this session complements UEA’s Pharmacology event on 2 November. Click below for details: \n  \nPharmacology Insight Event – UEA – 2 November \n  \n\nOur events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals\, either from school or from home. This means that sessions will continue irrespective of possible school closures. \nAs a live\, participative event\, this session will not be recorded but slides and other resources will be shared after the event\, where available. \n  \nSuitable for: Year 12 & 13 students (and equivalent) potentially interested in studying Pharmacy at university. Teachers and members of school staff\, as always\, are welcome too and participants can join as individuals from school/college or home\, or as a group from school/college. \nPreparation/Pre-Reading: No particular preparation or pre-reading is required but students might like to consider questions related to the topic and/or about studying Pharmacy at university. \nThe IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops\, tablets\, and mobile devices. If you are joining as a school group\, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the university via a microphone and/or typed comments and questions.
