DESCRIPTION:Register here \n  \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nJoin our interactive Question and Answer (Q+A) webinar\, led by UEA Paramedic Science lecturer Ryan Goodman. Ryan will be joined by Florence Pizzey\, a UEA student Paramedic and student ambassador\, and George Smith\, a registered Paramedic and UEA graduate – exploring their journey\, experience of higher education and the realities of pre-hospital care. \nFlo and George will share their personal perspectives on studying Paramedic Science\, their unique transition to higher education and professional practice\, with a consideration for the skills that have supported their success. \nThis online event is designed to give honest\, practical insight into the paramedic profession\, helping attendees better understand what to expect from study and working life. Submit your questions beforehand here\, or bring them along with you – be part of the conversation. \n  \nThis event is part of UEA’s Paramedic Science mini series and follows on from the Paramedic scenario session ‘Responding to a Medical Emergency’ taking place on 4th March. Please click below for further details but remember that\, if you are not/were not able to join the first session\, it will not affect how helpful and accessible this Q&A session is. \n  \nResponding to a Medical Emergency – 4th March 16:15-17:00 \n   \n  \nLecturer Profile: Ryan Goodman \n\n  \nOur events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals\, either from school or from home. There is no charge to take part. \nAs a live\, participative event\, this session will not be recorded but slides and other resources will be shared after the event\, where available. \n  \nSuitable for: This workshop is suitable for aged 16+ pre-university students aspiring to become a Paramedic\, those interested in further study or higher education in pursuit of a career in healthcare or for those who simply want to enhance their understanding of the role and profession. Student groups as well as students and teachers joining individually are very welcome. \nPreparation/Pre-Reading: Please submit questions you have about Paramedic Science study and careers in advance of the session HERE. We will then discuss these on the day with Ryan\, Flo and George\, as well as those questions that are posted live. \nThe IT Setup: The event will be run on Zoom and participants will be able to join using laptops\, tablets\, and mobile devices. If you are joining as a school group\, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the speaker via typed comments and questions and/or via a microphone.
