We are delighted to present Nursing at Aberystwyth University, a series of webinars from the University’s Healthcare Education Centre, which introduces key topics which are aimed to support you in deciding on a career in nursing and how prepare your application.
In this Webinar, Preparing for your Nursing Selection (Interview) Event at Aberystwyth University, we will look at discussing how best to prepare for your student selection event within the University and what to consider beforehand, including advice on the best reading material to consider before the day.
We will discuss what the event will look like and discuss the group work and individual face to face interview which may be presented to you on the day. We will also talk about the involvement of specialist clinical and community nursing staff, nurse academic lecturers, and service users and carers within your selection events.
About Our Speakers: Amanda is a Registered Nurse and is the programme lead for the nursing fields and is an experienced nursing academic lecturer and has both clinical and community experience alongside her academic career. Angharad Jones is also a registered nurse with secondary care, community care and research experience.

Preparation or Pre-Reading: There is no formal preparation or pre-reading but participants may like to consider in advance some questions they have related to nursing at Aberystwyth University.
The IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. If you are joining as a school group, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the university via a microphone and/or typed comments and questions. Full details will be sent to those who have registered (see below) prior to the event.
