Modern Languages: Studying Abroad With Undergraduate Language Students From UEA & Bristol

19th June 2020 @ 13:00 - 14:00

This interactive online session will connect sixth form students to undergraduate single and joint honours language students who are, or have been, working and studying abroad. We will be joined by speakers from University of East Anglia and University of Bristol. Each will have 20 minutes to present with 20 minutes at the end for Q&A/discussion.

This will be a great way for students to find out more about undergraduate study of modern languages and to hear the experiences of students that are currently abroad as part of their studies. The session is designed to help the sixth form students taking part to consider what a modern languages degree entails and whether it might be for them.

Suitable for: Year 12 students with a possible interest in studying Modern Languages at university.

Preparation or Pre-Reading: We recommend that students consider in advance some questions relevant to the further study of Languages at university.

The IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. You will be able to interact with the university via microphones and/or typed comments and questions. Full details will be sent to those who have registered (see below) prior to the event.
