MFL: Importance of Languages in The World of Work/Careers led by Claire Cuminatto & Seth Jennings from University of East Anglia
February 11 @ 12:35 - 13:20
In this live interactive Modern Languages Careers event, we will be joined by Claire Cuminatto and Seth Jennings from University of East Anglia to discuss The Importance of Languages in the World of Work/Careers. Claire is Associate Professor of French Language in the School of Media, Language and Communication Studies and Seth Jennings is a Careers Adviser supporting students to explore their career ideas and begin their journeys.
Where can degrees with languages take you? We will start this interactive session by presenting some destinations and careers available to students with a degree in languages. We’ll then be joined by two alumni from the University of East Anglia – one of whom works for an international hotel and restaurant operator, and the other in the charity/translation sector. We will ask them some questions about their career path and how their undergraduate degree prepared them for their current role. Participants will get the chance to ask questions too!
Session Leaders: Claire Cuminatto & Seth Jennings
