DESCRIPTION:Register here \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nIn this live and interactive Film Society\, we are joined by Dr Syed Haider\, Lecturer in World Cinema in the School of Media\, Language and Communication Studies at University of East Anglia\, to discuss/debate La Haine by Mathieu Kassovitz. \nWe invite the audience to shape the discussion with presubmitted and live questions and thoughts relating to key themes of the film. Please submit these HERE. \nExpect a lively and dynamic session in which you will hear a wide range of different perspectives and insights and feel secure to contribute your own. \nThe session will be run in English. \n  \nLecturer Profile: Dr Syed Haider \n  \n\n  \nOur events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals\, either from school or from home. There is no charge to take part. \nAs a live\, participative event\, this session will not be recorded but slides and other resources will be shared after the event\, where available. \n  \nSuitable for: Aged 16+ pre-university students studying\, or with a more general interest in\, La Haine. Student groups\, and individual students and teachers are very welcome to join us. \nPreparation/Pre-Reading: We recommend that students familiarise themselves with La Haine and we encourage students to share their questions and insights prior to the session\, using this form HERE. These will be used to shape the discussion on the day. \nThe IT Setup: The event will be run on Zoom and participants will be able to join using laptops\, tablets\, and mobile devices. If you are joining as a school group\, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the university via typed comments and questions and/or via a microphone.
