Mechanical Engineering Design: Innovation Through Design Thinking With Dr Yogesh Jayant Bhalerao From UEA

Without engineering, would there be technical innovation? Without innovation, could society progress?

If you have a passion for technology and want to be at the forefront of developments that will shape the future, then this webinar will give you a great introduction to design thinking.

Dr Yogesh Jayant Bhalerao, lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Design at UEA will look at:

–          Innovation and creativity

–          What is design?

–          Problem solving by using design thinking

–          Empathy, ideation and prototyping

–          Industry 4.0

–          Role of CAD/CAM/CAE in design thinking

Suitable for: Year 12 and 13 students (and equivalent) studying maths and science and with a possible interest in studying engineering. Teachers are also very welcome to join; please feel free to make it a class event.

Preparation or Pre-Reading: We recommend that students consider in advance some questions relevant to their own interests and potential applications.

The IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. You will be able to interact with the university via microphones and/or typed comments and questions. Full details will be sent to those who have registered (see below) prior to the event.
