SUMMARY:History/EPQ: Skills & Insight - Asking Relevant & Significant Questions Workshop With Professor Becky Taylor From University of East Anglia
DESCRIPTION:Register here \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nIn this History/EPQ session\, Becky Taylor\, Professor of Modern History at University of East Anglia\, will run an interactive skills and insight workshop for students on Asking Relevant & Significant Questions. \nHow can we move beyond thinking about the ‘bias’ of sources? What kinds of questions do historians ask when they work with primary sources? \nIn this interactive session\, Becky will use material from her own research to get students to think about the limitations and possibilities offered by different sources\, and how to ask the right questions to get the most out of them. \nThis session is aimed at students seeking to build their skills to help them in their EPQ or History A Level\, and to make them better historians. \nDuring the session\, Becky will refer to 3 sources. Please familiarise yourselves with these in advance of the session and please do print out a copy if you would like to make notes as we go.  \nLecturer Profile: Professor Becky Taylor \n  \n\n  \nOur events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals\, either from school or from home.
