HE Guidance: Why, What and Where to Study: Making the Right Decision With Laura Hill, Robin Lovatt & Student Ambassadors From Aberystwyth University

As part of Aberystwyth’s webinar series Your Guide to Higher Education: Making it from Application to Arrival, this session aims to help prospective students see the benefits of gaining a degree and how to choose the perfect course & University.
We’ll be covering the following subjects:
- The benefits of a degree
- How to choose the perfect course
- How to choose the perfect University
- Q&A with current students about the above topics
There will be interactive elements with a poll/quiz for participants in order to generate discussion.
The students should come away from this session with clear ideas of what opportunities will await them with an Undergraduate degree and how to begin researching the perfect course and University for them.
Laura and Robin are Student Recruitment Officers at Aberystwyth University and they will be supported by two Student Ambassadors, Rebecca and Elen.
Suitable for: Year 12 and 13 students (and equivalent). Any student thinking of attending University.
Preparation/Pre-Reading: None is required although you may wish to consider questions you have about application and transition to university.
The IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. You will be able to interact with the university via microphones and/or typed comments and questions. Full details will be sent to those who have registered (see below) prior to the event.
