HE Guidance: Studying In Scotland With Kirsty Notman From The UK Student Recruitment Team & Current Students From University of Glasgow
July 2 @ 13:35 - 14:20
Did you know that 4 of the 6 UK ancient universities are in Scotland? Or that there are 2 Russell Group, 3 world top 100 and 5 UK top 20 universities? With over 4,000 degrees to choose from and students from more than 100 different countries worldwide, Scottish universities offer a diverse and rewarding experience.
Join staff and students from the University of Glasgow to find out about: what it’s like to live and study in Scotland; the diversity of universities and locations from campus to rural to small town to big city; the range of degrees on offer; the benefits of the Scottish flexible degree structure; the amazing student life.
Our events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom, or students and teachers can take part as individuals, either from school or from home. There is no charge for taking part.
As a live, participative event, this session will not be recorded but access to the Headliner recording will continue to be accessible.
Suitable for: All students considering starting university in 2025, 2026 or 2027. Advisers and members of school staff, as always, are welcome too and participants can join as individuals from school/college or home, or as a group from school/college.
Preparation/Pre-Reading: Students may wish to consider questions they have about studying in Scotland. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask these questions.
The IT Setup: The event will be run on Zoom and participants will be able to join using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. If you are joining as a school group, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the university via a microphone and/or typed comments and questions. Full details will be sent to those who have registered (see below) prior to the event.
Booking a Place: This is free for schools and colleges. If you would like to take part in this event, please register your interest using the link to the registration form below:
