HE Guidance: Student Insight – Making Your Home Away From Home – Your Guide To Accommodation At University With Lily Wearden & Laura Hill From Aberystwyth University
4th February 2021 @ 17:15 - 18:00
In Aberystwyth’s Student Insight series, we are offering 4 interactive 45 minute weekly events focusing on aspects of student life at university. As going to university involves so much more than academic study alone, these webinars will cover a range of topics, giving advice on how they might affect your student experience, and what you might want to take into consideration when researching what universities will best suit you. As a student or parent/guardian, you will hear from current undergraduate students and will receive some handy advice and top tips.
In this session on Accommodation we will be covering:
- Different kinds of accommodation available, e.g. catered vs non-catered; campus vs seafront, and standard vs en-suite vs studio.
- Living costs and advice on the pros and cons in renting private accommodation following the 1st year.
- Students’ own experiences living in university-owned accommodation, as well as their advice on budgeting and paying rent.
In a relaxed and friendly forum, it is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you have about Accommodation at university.
