HE Guidance: Getting The Most From Clearing With Jessica Smith & Lydia Newton From University of East Anglia

This session will help students prepare for results day by providing an overview of the Clearing and Adjustment process.

We will discuss some helpful hints and tips and cover important timescales, as well as giving you an insight into what happens from a university point of view.

In addition, we recognise that making the call to a university can be stressful and so, within this session, Lydia and Jessica will present a mock clearing call to illustrate what to expect.

This webinar is your chance to have your questions answered and get ahead of the game to ensure results day is as stress free as possible.

Suitable for: Year 13 students who have already applied for university or those still thinking about applying through Clearing. This is also open to advisers who will be very welcome.

Preparation/Pre-Reading: We recommend that students consider in advance some questions relevant to their own potential applications.

The IT Setup: The event will be run with one, smaller, audience on Bluejeans (similar to Zoom) and a larger audience, simultaneously, on Facebook Live. The smaller group in the Bluejeans meeting can engage using their microphones to talk directly to the university. The Facebook audience has the ability to ask questions and offer thoughts via comments on Facebook. In both cases, participants will be able to join using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
