HE Guidance: Applying For Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) with Alannah Moody & Emma Ainger-McKillop from Outreach & Student Support at University of East Anglia
March 24 @ 16:30 - 17:15
Applying for Disabled Students’ Allowance can be daunting, and many students don’t realise they are eligible for funding.
Join the UEA advice team for guidance on the support available to you and the application process so that you don’t miss out on this important source of funding.
This webinar will help you to understand what Disabled Students’ Allowance is, the funding you might be entitled to, and how to apply.
You’ll also hear from UEA students about their experience of applying for DSA and there will be plenty of time for questions, so you can feel confident about making your application.
Parents and carers are also welcome to attend the session, to better understand how to support their young person.
Please note, this session will focus on DSA for university students and does not cover apprenticeships (See ‘Useful links’ below if you are considering an apprenticeship).
Our events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom, or students and teachers can take part as individuals, either from school or from home. There is no cost to take part.
As a live, participative event, this session will not be recorded but slides and other resources will be shared after the event, where available.
Suitable for: Aged 16+ pre-university students who are considering applying to study at university. This session will focus on DSA for university students and will not cover apprenticeships. Advisers, teachers and parents/carers are also very welcome to join us.
