HE Choices: Student Finance & Support Available with Ruth Walton from The University of Winchester
23rd November 2016 @ 15:25 - 16:25
Student finance can be a challenging subject. Here at the University of Winchester though, we like to keep it simple.
In this session Ruth will cover the following:
- How much will it cost?
- How much can you borrow?
- How and when can you pay it back?
- What university funding and support is available?
Four simple questions. Four simple answers. Book on to this session and we will tell you more.
Suitable for: All Year 12/13 students.
Preparation or Pre-Reading: We recommend that students prepare in advance some questions relating to their potential university application and what the financial implications of studying might be.
The IT Setup: The setup is similar to Skype, using a pc and webcam, although students take part as a group with the image projected on a whiteboard rather than as individuals in front of lots of pcs. Dedicated videoconferencing equipment is also compatible if available to the school. We will work with your IT department to ensure everything is set up and working prior to the event. This is a dedicated session but, generally, sessions are limited to 3 or 4 schools to maintain the interactive nature of the experience.
Booking a Place: This is a dedicated session following a request from a school for university input. If you are interested in arranging an HE guidance session to support your students, please view the following link: Request an HE Guidance Session
After the Event: If students have any questions following the video conference, please encourage them to email Winchester.
