DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n\n\nIn the first event in Aberystwyth’s The Challenges of 2030 series\, Professor Mark Whitehead from Department of Geography and Earth Sciences will present Geography In A Digital Age: Reflections On The Smart Technology Revolution. \n\nThe session will provide participants with a critical introduction to the ways in which smart technology is changing our lives and particular attention will be given to the ways in which smart technology is reshaping our social and working lives. Mark will also explore the issues of surveillance and injustice that are associated with the smart technology revolution. \nThe session will be split into 4 sections of about 10 minutes each and participants will be able to ask questions at the end of each section. If you are joining as a school group\, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the university via a microphone and/or typed comments and questions.
