Film/Media: Personal Projects – The Art of Storyboarding – University Tutorial With Dr Alec Plowman From University of East Anglia
10th October 2024 @ 13:00 - 13:45
In this live interactive Film/Media tutorial, we will be joined by Dr Alec Plowman, Lecturer in Media Production in the School of Media, Language and Communication Studies at University of East Anglia, who will present Personal Projects – The Art of Storyboarding.
Storyboarding is one of the most important – and most overlooked – aspects of the film pre-production process. Get storyboarding right and you’ll make films with a vision (and stay on schedule!) Get it wrong and you’ll end up with a spiralling production that doesn’t go anywhere.
In this session, we’ll talk through the ins and outs of the storyboarding process: why we do it, what information our storyboards need and which types of shots we use when. We’ll also explore some of the different ways to put a storyboard together and learn that we don’t need to know how to draw to create great storyboards.
