DESCRIPTION:Register here \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nThis sixth and final session in our EPQ series will be delivered by Lily Bissell\, an Academic Skills Officer in the University of Southampton’s Learn with US Transition EPQ programme. \nThe aim of this session is to provide guidance for students planning\, structuring and delivering their presentation for their EPQ. \nObjectives: \n\nUnderstand the required content and structure of the EPQ presentation\, including how to organise key sections clearly and coherently.\nExplore design tips for preparing and structuring a well-organised presentation that supports clarity and flow.\nLearn and practise effective presentation techniques\, focusing on confident delivery and clear communication of main ideas.\n\n  \nPreparatory Work \nThough it is not essential to complete the preparatory work before the session\, you might find the session even more useful if you have completed the following task: \nWatch our YouTube video titled ‘Presenting the EPQ’ and make notes. You may want to specifically focus on answering the following 3 questions: \n\nWhat are 3 tips for designing a PowerPoint presentation? (6:21)\nIdentify at least 3 ways you can ensure you are reflective about your EPQ during your presentation? (8:13)\nIdentify 3 presentation skills you should be aware of when delivering your presentation? There is no cost to take part. \nAs a live\, participative event\, this session will not be recorded but slides and other resources will be shared after the event\, where available. \n  \nSuitable for: Aged 16+ pre-university students studying for an Extended Project Qualification. Individual students and teachers as well as groups taking part from a classroom are very welcome indeed. \nPreparation/Pre-Reading: See above. \nThe IT Setup: The event will be run on Zoom and participants will be able to join using laptops\, tablets\, and mobile devices. If you are joining as a school group\, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the university via typed comments and questions and/or a microphone.
