DESCRIPTION:Register Here\n \n  \nWe are delighted to present the Before\, During and Beyond … series from Aberystwyth University in which each event focuses on a particular subject area to introduce the decisions that need to be made before choosing a degree course\, the study period itself and how University alumni have succeeded beyond studying the course. \n\n\nBefore\, During & Beyond … English & Creative Writing has the following objectives: \n\nTo provide insight into the process of applying to study English & Creative Writing (and related degrees) at University.\nTo explore what it is actually like to study English & Creative Writing at University (including topics\, forms of teaching\, and research project opportunities).\nTo consider career opportunities that an English & Creative Writing degree can open up.\n\nThe session will include talks from a University Lecturer and an English & Creative Writing graduate. \n  \nThis is a great chance for Year 11\, 12 & 13 students (and equivalent) to hear about how to prepare to study undergraduate courses\, the graduates’ university experience\, and how this has prepared them for their current roles. \nThere will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and to find out about the decisions the university alumni have made also. \nThe format is accessible\, friendly\, informative and participative. \n\n\n  \nFor further details about this great series and to see other Before\, During and Beyond … events on offer\, please click below: \n  \nBefore\, During and Beyond … Series with Aberystwyth University \n\n\n\n  \n  \nLecturer Profile (Please Click): TBC \nSuitable for: Years 11\, 12 and 13 or equivalent students. This session will be of interest primarily to those students who are considering studying English & Creative Writing and related subjects. \nPreparation or Pre-Reading: There is no formal preparation or pre-reading but participants may like to consider in advance some questions relevant to the subject area. \nThe IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops\, tablets\, and mobile devices. You will be able to interact with the university via a microphone and/or typed comments and questions.
