Jaguar Land Rover is delighted to be able to talk to Year 11 and Year 13 students about their Advanced and Higher apprenticeship schemes in these live interactive sessions.

These will run from 3.40pm – 4.40pm on:

6 November

20 November

25 November

27 November

and from 3.15pm – 4.15pm on:

11 December

15 January

For schools finding it difficult to make the after school sessions, there will be an additional session from:

1.55pm – 2.55pm on 15 January

Become an Apprentice at Jaguar Land Rover and you’ll learn from the best. You’ll work on projects that have a real impact on the company’s global success. You’ll also be rewarded as you develop your skills and start on the road to building an impressive career. Whether you join as an Advanced or Higher Apprentice depends on your education level. The Advanced Scheme is designed for those who have completed GCSEs or achieved 60+ credits at BTEC Level 3, and runs for three to four years. The Higher Scheme runs for six years, and is appropriate for those who have completed A-Levels or have 90+ credits at BTEC Level 3.

JLR will use these sessions to introduce the programmes and to answer questions in a relaxed and informal way. Each session will typically involve two or three schools and would be led by current JLR apprentices talking about their career path and experiences. They are fully interactive so your students would be able to ask questions and share their own thoughts.

Suitable for: Schools & Colleges in the West Midlands

The sessions would be relevant for Year 11 and Year 13 students with a STEM leaning. JLR has also asked if each school taking part can aim to have a minimum of 10 students participating. The maximum depends on the room and technology you are using. Parents would be very welcome if you feel this is appropriate and have the space.

Preparation/Pre-reading: Details of the Advanced and Higher Apprenticeship schemes will be made available to students in advance of the session. It will be helpful for students to consider questions in advance.
