Creative Writing: A Skills & Insight Workshop With KR Moorhead From University of East Anglia
21st April 2021 @ 16:15 - 17:15
In this workshop, KR Moorhead from UEA’s School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing will lead a skills and insight workshop for students of creative writing, exploring techniques and approaches.
How do writers shape their initial ideas into stories? This interactive session will work with writing prompts from UEA’s Creative Writing degree courses and explore how to develop narratives beginning with a discussion about your responses to the Journeys activity outlined in Preparation/Pre-Reading below.
Using point of view and other building blocks of constructing stories, the session will help unlock ways of transforming your ideas into fictional shape.
Our events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals, either from school or from home. This means that sessions will continue irrespective of possible school closures.
As a live, participative event, this session will not be recorded but slides and other resources will be shared after the event, where available.
