Art & Design: Putting Together A Great Portfolio With Goldsmiths, University of London
9th October 2020 @ 13:00 - 13:45
In this interactive webinar, Goldsmiths, University of London, will help students to plan and put together a Portfolio as part of a UCAS application by offering a university perspective on what makes a great Portfolio.
The session will consider the importance of the Portfolio and we will focus on what university admissions tutors are looking for, covering the university context of Portfolios, what to include, what to avoid, and how to get started, as well as looking at some relevant examples of Portfolios.
Our events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals, either from school or from home. This means that sessions will continue irrespective of possible school closures.
Suitable for: Year 13 students planning to apply for Art and Design courses at university. Teachers and members of school staff, as always, are welcome too, particularly where you are joining as a group along with your students.
Preparation or Pre-Reading: We recommend that students prepare in advance some questions relevant to their potential HE application and, if they are at this stage, to think about any issues they might be facing with putting together their Portfolio.
The IT Setup: The event will be run on Bluejeans and participants will be able to join using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. If you are joining as a school group, we recommend connecting with one device and projecting on to a whiteboard. You will be able to interact with the university via a microphone and/or typed comments and questions. Full details will be sent to those who have registered (see below) prior to the event.
Booking a Place: This is free for schools and colleges. If you would like to take part in this event, please register your interest using the link to the registration form below:
