Arch Apprentices: Arch Apprenticeships by Ben Rowland from Arch

This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in IT and digital careers and intending to leave the sixth form this summer.

By way of background, over 250 young people and over 75 employers are already enjoying the benefits of Arch Apprenticeships. Employers include Google, Facebook, The Guardian and Barclays, as well as many other agencies, publishers, e-tailers, IT firms, tech companies, charities and public bodies. Arch partners with leading industry organisations, such as HP and Microsoft, to deliver training of the highest quality.

90% of apprentices go into full time employment on completion of their Arch Apprenticeship.

Arch is part of the Agilisys Group and, therefore, is both an employer of apprentices and training provider. Further details are available here.

Arch will look at GCSE results but they are most interested in talking to students who demonstrate a passion for and ability in the creative, commercial aspects of digital media and also those that are very technically oriented.

The session on 1st April will last for 50 minutes approximately and will be interactive including, ideally, a group of 10 students. It is planned to involve 4 more schools from London and Greater Manchester.

The session will cover:

o An interactive introduction to the world of work;

o The IT and digital marketing industries;

o Arch apprenticeships; o Introduce an Arch apprentice to share their experience;

o Questions.
