HE Guidance: Studying at The London School of Economics and Political Science, With Sarah Mullen From LSE

6th October 2017 @ 12:45 - 13:45

This interactive webinar will be led by Sarah Mullen from the Student Marketing and Recruitment team at LSE. Sarah will introduce students to the range of study options at LSE, student life and the application process, and will give students the opportunity to ask questions during the event.

About Our Speaker: Sarah is responsible for the coordination of LSE’s on-campus recruitment events including the undergraduate Open Days, Offer Holders’ Days and monthly campus tours. She manages the schedule of school and college visits and attendance at education fairs in the UK. Sarah also provides support for the Student Recruitment team’s activities in Europe and makes regular visits to schools, universities and education fairs in the UK and Europe to talk with prospective students, their parents and advisors covering all issues regarding applying to and studying at LSE.

Suitable for: Year 11, 12 and 13 students with a potential interest in studying at The London School of Economics and Political Science.

Preparation/Pre-Reading: None is required although, prior to the event, students may wish to consider and discuss some questions they would like to ask Sarah.

The IT Setup: The setup is similar to Skype, using a pc and webcam, although students take part as a group with the image projected on a whiteboard rather than as individuals in front of lots of pcs. Dedicated videoconferencing equipment is also compatible if available to the school. We will work with your IT department to ensure everything is set up and working prior to the event. The sessions are generally limited to 3 or 4 schools to maintain the interactive nature of the experience.

Booking a Place: This event is being run following a request from an individual school. If you have a group of students that you think would benefit from taking part in this event, please contact us via email or via the contact form at the top right of this webpage (or at the bottom if you are using a mobile device). This will then be considered with the school involved and the university in light of places already made available to other schools.
